5. Online resources I used
This is the post that deals with all the goodies and shortcuts and one of the main reasons you ever visited my blog. It’s alright because I was in your place once too and wished for access to one site/blog/post that would tell me what are the best online resources out there.
This blog is an accumulation of all the resources I found out and used over a period of a year and the best course of action for you would be to go through all of them, find out what you feel works best for you and make maximum use of it. All of them are free and easily accessible online resources and books.
1. WhatsApp
We use Whatsapp everyday so it is imperative that we have some form of resource on there that helps us out.
- GDC (GPAT Discussion Center): If you go through their
website you will find a link to get in contact with them over WhatsApp. Through
that you will be added to a group chat where questions, youtube videos, study
materials are posted everyday
https://www.facebook.com/GPATDISCUSSION/photos/a.308861539240697/938819296244915/?type=1&theater - Fundamental Pharmacy: This is another education website where they let you join a group chat and the process is similar to the previous one.
- PharmaElite: https://chat.whatsapp.com/CxIXnnrtkSA7mDTpviYCG9
- Mybogroup: https://www.google.com/url?q=https://chat.whatsapp.com/LhKVNMaBiT6EzprNKmTTWU&sa=D&ust=1593967570988000&usg=AFQjCNEmyQlM5aSDd9eJO6B52nJrKCV0Gg
Try to get into as many groups as you can by talking to friends and peers about them
2. Instagram
Instagram is also an app that most of us use on a daily basis so figure out and find as many GPAT and Pharma related pages as you can so that whenever you go through your insta feed you come across at least one MCQ, study material, etc when you go through instagram

3. Reference eBooks
These links will be the important because
studying for GPAT will require you to study from references a lot, but it won’t
always be possible for you to borrow them for the library for that long a
period. There will be certain times when you want to study/revise a certain topic but you do not have references with you. At such times having eBooks on your phone always helps.
The app that I found most convenient to open and manage multiple eBooks at a time is “WPS Office Lite” because of its simple UI.
One trick to use when you cannot find eBooks online is to go to your library, borrow the book you wish to keep on your phone and scan it using your phone and store it in your phone in the form of a PDF using an app like “CamScanner” and manage your folders using a “file manager” app.
The links that I have given below will help you find most foreign author books and a few Indian author books too.
- https://b-ok.asia - This my ultimate go to website that I visit when I need eBooks and I have found most of my books here. You can sign up for free and then be able to download 10 books/day.
- There are many links for google
drive folders where you will find lots of notes and books uploaded on them.
Such links are usually shared on WhatsApp group chats by students so make
maximum use of them when you receive one and some of these are:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1fy5ZfnyG-j_a6kExDsC8E8F7XGfE1QGZ - Some books are available for viewing on https://books.google.co.in/ but these cannot be downloaded
E.g. “lachman and lieberman industrial pharmacy pdf”
The first 5-6 links will usually have what you are looking for. If this doesn’t work, then chances are that there is no eBook available for the book you are looking for.
Always keep a habit of searching for eBooks of whatever book names you come across, download them and store them properly so that you can use them whenever you need to.
My eBook collection that's about 10 Gb in size! |
4. Notes and Question papers
There are many notes that are available online too. These are mostly PDF documents written by NIPER alumni or students who want to help their juniors and are shared via google drive links.
You will also find old questions papers (with answer keys) and mock question papers for practice online. Websites like GDC, Fundamental Pharmacy also make and share notes on their websites or on their WhatsApp groups and some links are:
- https://chinmayjk97.github.io/PharmaAssist/fy.html
- https://www.kclpharmacy.com/pharma-notes/#
- https://shelter4study.blogspot.com/?m=1
- https://notes.pharmadhunia.com//
I don’t have a lot of links at my hand right now because I had accessed those and downloaded whatever I felt was important back then. If you can comment a few links down below then that would benefit everyone else.
I have uploaded my notes too and these are available at:

5. YouTube
There have been times when a topic is so
complicated that I used to watch YouTube videos and then write down the whole
video in words as notes in my notebook for that topic. If you do this, then
also read your textbooks afterwards to add any additional points that the video creator
might have missed out on.
There are videos that have the best of
flowcharts and diagrams that you wouldn’t find in books.
There are videos where the creators teach you mnemonics and these are very important because they make the task of remembering things very easy.

Thank you loadsss!
ReplyDeleteJust a question, how did you manage college exams and gpat studies simultaneously?
i mean, is it okay to keep semester exam as a second priority?
You will have to be efficient and manage to study both for semester exams and for GPAT simulataneously because your GPA matters too!
DeleteFor semester exams make sure that you pay full focus and cover the topics during lectures and practicals itself so you do not have to study them separately again and for last moment techmax, career or any textbook works for semester exams
